DWV is committed to the protection of our nature and environment and the conservation of resources. In this sense, DWV accompanies the design of the development of a hydrogen economy as part of a sustainable energy supply.

In this context, DWV supports the goals of the Paris Climate Agreement, which the international community adopted at COP 21 in 2015. DWV also recognizes the position of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) that climate change is man-made for people and nature.

DWV’s activities focus on a hydrogen economy for a sustainable and low-emission energy supply with the necessary market, technological and regulatory framework for plant construction, generation, transport infrastructure and application technologies. The aim of all DWV activities is to offer our society and our descendants an environment that is worth living in and socially just.

For 30 years, the DFKI has been combining scientific excellence and business-oriented development with social value creation to develop AI for people.

The Robotics Innovation Center in Bremen and the Marine Perception research area in Oldenburg deal with, among other things, underwater robotics and maritime sensors. Based on AI methods, autonomous systems are being developed that carry out maintenance work on the high seas and analyze marine pollution, as well as sensor systems that automatically record and evaluate complex data from marine environments. There are close relationships with offshore companies, international research institutes and non-governmental organizations
