In offshore hydrogen, Tewis has been involved since the beginnings of the AquaVentus initiative: as a project partner in the TransHyDE project Helgoland, the company is working on establishing a hydrogen transport chain from offshore via the port of Helgoland to consumers on the mainland. Tewis has also signed a memorandum of understanding under AquaPortus on decarbonising Helgoland and building an LOHC-based hydrogen supply chain.
