AquaPrimus is the demonstrator for offshore electrolysis: a 1-5 MW electrolyser that tests and optimises the entire hydrogen production value chain at sea for the first time — from seawater treatment and electrolysis to compression and storage.
As a development and demonstration platform, AquaPrimus brings together research and industry. The flexible consortium model enables various stakeholders to test technologies in a real offshore environment. AquaPrimus serves as a testbed for consortia preparing for future SEN-1 tenders.
