J-Power

Japan's sixth-largest power generator on its way to climate neutrality

J-POWER is Japan's sixth-largest power generator. The company owns and operates 18 GW of generation capacity in Japan and 6.5 GW overseas.

In February 2021 J-POWER announced the "J-POWER Blue Mission 2050", aiming for climate neutrality in power generation by the middle of the century. An interim target is to cut CO₂ emissions by 40 per cent by 2030, among other things through greater use of green and blue hydrogen.
