With 1,700 employees, the HanseWerk group is one of the largest energy service providers in northern Germany. Through subsidiaries such as Schleswig-Holstein Netz, HanseWerk Natur and HanseGas, it operates electricity, gas and heat networks in more than 1,000 municipalities across northern Germany.

HanseWerk has set itself the goal of being climate-neutral as early as 2030, as a partner of the energy transition. At the same time the company is one of the largest operators of highly efficient combined heat and power plants and heating systems.
