At the Robotics Innovation Center in Bremen and in the Marine Perception research department in Oldenburg, DFKI develops autonomous systems for offshore maintenance work and marine conservation. Sensor systems automatically capture and analyse complex data from marine environments.

DFKI maintains close partnerships with offshore companies, international research institutions and non-governmental organisations.
