In 1975 founder Jan Brand began offering his engineering expertise to Dutch companies on a project basis, pioneering a new way of working. His aim was to enable greater flexibility and to advance technical progress.

In Germany, Austria, Switzerland and the Czech Republic, Brunel operates more than 40 offices with over 2,800 specialised engineers, technicians and IT professionals. Worldwide the organisation has more than 12,000 specialists at over 120 locations in 40 countries.
