Agentur für Wirtschaftsförderung Cuxhaven (AfW) is the regional point of contact for companies and founders on all questions concerning funding programmes and business and economic development.

The agency covers traditional core sectors such as ports and logistics and the fish and food industry, as well as innovative sectors such as pharmaceuticals and biotechnology. In the new energy sector, AfW has accompanied the German Offshore Industry Centre Cuxhaven on its way to becoming the leading location in Europe.

The agency is also strongly networked in classic sectors such as tourism, retail and the skilled trades.
