The partnership rests on a strong political foundation: the Kensington Treaty of 17 July 2025 deepens German-British cooperation in energy, climate protection and industrial innovation. The feasibility study by BMWE and DESNZ (2025) confirms that a direct hydrogen pipeline from the UK to Germany is technically feasible and economically viable.
