Aberdeen, 22 April 2026. Further steps to deepen UK–German energy cooperation are being discussed during a high-level delegation visit to Aberdeen. Around 50 representatives from industry, project development and research have come together for a three-day meeting to explore concrete cooperation projects across the entire hydrogen value chain — from offshore generation and transport to storage and industrial use. The visit, organised by AquaVentus and the Renewable Energy Cluster Hamburg, builds on the Memorandum of Understanding signed by AquaVentus and Hydrogen Scotland in September 2025. Plans for an offshore hydrogen pipeline linking the United Kingdom and Germany are becoming increasingly concrete.
