AquaVentus – The support association, the initiative and the projects
One million tons of green hydrogen per year in 2035, produced from 10 GW of wind energy in the North Sea and transported to land by pipeline – a vision becomes a mission; that of AquaVentus. With tenders for the first GW of offshore electrolysis due to take place shortly, the theory is finally being transferred to the realization phase. It is a milestone for the AquaVentus initiative, the AquaVentus Förderverein and its committed members. With these tenders, the AquaVentus pioneer projects will prove that offshore electrolysis will be an integral part of a future domestic green hydrogen supply.
