In view of the central role of offshore electrolysis in Germany’s and Europe’s future energy system, we would like to use this statement to draw particular attention to the need to re-establish hydrogen production at sea and its transportation by pipeline as a project in the overriding public interest and public safety in the legal text – in line with the original version of the draft.
