Aberdeen / Berlin, September 4, 2025 – The energy transition in Europe is getting a new boost: AquaVentus and Hydrogen Scotland have signed a comprehensive Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at the Offshore Europe trade fair in Aberdeen. The aim of the cooperation is to significantly strengthen hydrogen production and transportation in the North Sea region and make better use of the potential of the shared infrastructure. The two leading associations are thus joining forces to drive forward the development and use of technologies along the entire value chain – from production, transport and storage to the use of hydrogen for the decarbonization of the energy system. In addition, both organizations want to intensify their research activities and work together to represent political interests in the ramp-up of a European hydrogen economy.
