J-POWER is Japan’s sixth largest electricity producer, owning and operating a power generation capacity of 18 GW in Japan and 6.5 GW overseas. J-POWER announced “J-POWER Blue Mission 2050” in February 2021, with the goal of meeting the challenge of making its power generation business carbon-neutral by 2050 in our power generation business and has set the intermediate goal of reducing CO2 emissions by 40% by 2030. In order to achieve this goal, we will pursue the possibility of expanding our business domain by promoting the use of green/blue hydrogen.
