German LNG Terminal is planning to build and operate a combined import and distribution terminal for LNG in Brunsbüttel. The Kreditanstalt für Wiederaufbau (KfW) on behalf of the German government, the Dutch Gasunie LNG Holding B.V. and RWE will jointly drive the project forward. Gasunie will operate the LNG terminal.
The shareholder structure with highly experienced companies not only ensures that the project will be completed as quickly as possible, but also that it will gradually be used for climate-neutral energy sources. Right from the start, it is planned to convert the terminal for the import of green hydrogen or its derivatives.
