AquaSummit 2023

Dear AquaVentus members,

We are pleased to invite you to AquaSummit 2023, which will take place on Tuesday, September 5, at DFKI in Bremen and Fraunhofer IWES in Bremerhaven. On this day, we put our projects and plans to the test. For this purpose, we have put together a rich program with exciting presentations as well as discussions on the topic of technology and research. The day offers an ideal opportunity to find out about the latest developments and engage in a direct exchange.

10.00 am – Offshore hydrogen infrastructure potential for Europe (Gascade)

• Bringing together production potential and demand centers

10.20 am – Unmanned inspection of underwater hydrogen infrastructures (Rosen)

• Reliable performance under extreme weather and sea state conditions
• Fully autonomous cost-to-coast operations

10.40 am Coffee-Break

11.00 am – Future Maritime Fuels (DLR)

• Reduction of pollutant emissions from the maritime sector / use of alternative fuels in shipping
• Development, integration and testing of efficient energy systems in ships

11.20 am – Large-scale ship fuel projects (DFDS)

12.00 pm – Guided tour through DFKI (DFKI)

• Inspection/ demonstration of subsea robotics station

01.00 pm Lunch

02.00 pm – Bus transfer to Bremerhaven

02.00 pm – Presentation of hydrogen activities including a visit to the rotor blade testing hall (Fraunhofer IWES)

03.30 pm – Visit to the Hydrogen Lab Bremerhaven (HLB) with the following components on campus

• 1MW PEM electrolyser and 2 hydrogen CHP units
• LiDar buoy demonstration for self-sufficient energy systems
• DyNaLAb turbine test rig

05.00 pm – Bus transfer to Bremen

06.00 pm – Get-together
